In the vicinity of KL, there exists this old generation restaurant at Jalan Ipoh – Restoran Million. It’s located just opposite the Mobil at the U-turn of Jalan Duta and Jalan Ipoh. Visiting Million makes me think of the much-missed Ipoh food because of its old shop 😛 While waiting for the dishes to arrive…

Fish Cake (RM 5.50) – best served with their special home made sauce. Soft and not too salty.

My favourite, Mantis Shrimps/Prawns (“lai liu ha”) for RM23 🙂 Cooked to perfection with slightly crispy skin and juicy flesh with the right level of spiciness.

Their signature dish, Mee Sua for RM14. Do not be fooled by its plain appearance, the mee sua is infused with much flavours. Well controlled and fried with pork, vegetables, eggs, peanut and seafood. Highly recommended if you preferred a good old fashion style of mee sua.

The lady boss also recommended us to try the Fried Crab Meat Balls for RM14. Best served with the house’s chilli sauce. Nothing to shout about, rather ordinary. Like the sweet & sour chilli sauce though.

Fried Oysters with Eggs (Oh Chien) for RM24. My recommendation, the dish is fried till golden brown and packed with oysters, unlike many that are soggy and starchy.

Another recommendation for this restaurant is their Oven Baked Arrowhead Chips (or more commonly known as nga ku). Priced at only RM16, this Chinese New Year snack is available from now onwards till CNY. The ‘nga ku’ is usually deep-fried but this oven baked version is much better – brings out its original sweet taste better and definitely a healthier choice 🙂 Yummy!
